How Sturdy is the Koala Kirribilli Bed Base?

The Koala Kirribilli bed base feels incredibly sturdy to sleep on and should suit most mattresses. With a weight capacity of up to 240kgs, the bed base feels secure. Meanwhile, the headboard provides a comfortable backrest for reading or sitting up in bed. However, it can be removed and stored if you don’t want a headboard.

Overall, the bed base is constructed with excellent quality, and the panel slats promote good airflow, ensuring a comfortable sleeping experience. Additionally, there’s plenty of storage space underneath the bed, with a generous height of over 30 cm.

Assembly was quick and easy and can easily be done by one person. Koala claims it can be built in under 4 minutes, but it took me around 10 (not including unboxing the pieces).

The steps to build it are displayed on a large piece of cardboard, and even for me as someone who’s not very handy, it was pretty simple to follow.

The Koala Kirribilli Bed Base comes with a 120 night trial. If you don’t love it, you can simply return the bed base and receive a full refund from Koala.

The bed base also comes with a 5 year warranty. This warranty covers damage as a result of defects in workmanship and materials of the bed base that has at all times been used for normal domestic use. The bed base warranty covers severe cracks, breaks and faults that impact the bed’s functionality or safety.
