The Ergoflex Bed Base is an incredibly customisable bed base – there are over 3,200 combinations to choose from! Choose from a low or high foundation base, and a selection of headboards in a range of sizes and designs. Select a colour and fabric, along with the style of hardwood feet – and you can create a truly unique piece that’s all yours.

Because this is a very customised bed and pretty pricey, this review is not based on my experience with the bed frame but rather on countless hours of research, including customer reviews and speaking with Ergoflex representatives.

From a headboard to no headboard, high headboard to low headboard, smooth or texture and so much more, you can make a bed base that’s truly yours.
• High quality: The Ergoflex bed base is a premium product, it’s an investment that’ll last you a lifetime if you look after it. Made with Victorian Ash hardwood, heat-treated pine and premium Aussie fabric Warwick fabrics, the Ergoflex base is one of the most durable on the market.
• White glove service: Ergoflex says the bed base is easy to assemble, and it wasn’t too hard with two people. But what’s cool about this bed base is that for $129.99, you can add a white glove service so when your bed arrives the delivery drivers will help you assemble it (not available everywhere, only in major metro cities).
• No squeak: It’s hard to find a squeak-free bed but plenty of reviews suggest the Ergoflex really is true to its word when it comes to being completely squeak-free.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Pricey: As we’ve said, it’s a premium bed frame so you can expect premium prices. We built a basic bed that was still $3,999. Meanwhile, shipping in NSW, VIC, ACT and QLD is $149.99, so keep that in mind. You can save yourself about $800 if you opt for no headboard on the same bed I built.
• Lengthy wait time: Because it’s a custom-built bed base, it takes anywhere between 9 – 12 weeks to arrive at your door, so if you’re in a rush to get a new bed frame, this might not be the ideal situation for you.

Shipping can take anywhere from 9-12 weeks. Customer reviews have suggested it’s easy enough to assemble with two people. It comes in four pieces: the headboard (if you order a headboard) and three additional pieces with a join in the middle of the bed for easy manoeuvring, especially if it’s going up some stairs.

Trial Period & Returns & Warranty

Because this is a custom-made bed base, there are no trial periods or returns (unless faulty). The warranty is a standard 5-year warranty.
